We also understand the issues and challenges experienced by stakeholders, facilitators, investors, investees, and how projects are ‘experienced’ & ‘perceived’ differently throughout the community. Third i Management utilises our proprietary process, 3i Management Modelling©, to make sense out of the complex social impact environment. Our process helps communities navigate projects by identifying the relationship between issues and impacts and how they influence project outcomes, which improves impact management and aids decision making.

Third i Management's unique value proposition is based on our ability to measure and monitor social impact in simple, easy to understand way. We use a proprietary modelling process to communicate qualitative data through quantitative insights. The results of our process produces a previously unattainable way to calculate social impact and understand the complexity of the relationships between issues/ challenges, decision-making/ responses/ and impact. No other firm or organisation can do this... let alone in such a streamlined way. In addition, we are also able to track & report on the decision-making process so accountability can be governed and improved.

Third i Management’s proprietary process (3i Management Modelling©) utilises a Three Theme Ethnographic approach to thoroughly analyse the ‘inter-relationships’ between data input themes (issues, responses, impacts). This approach provides an in-depth understanding of the decision-making or management process. This streamlined process systematically reveals what decisions, actions, or responses are most effective or least effective in mitigating negative impacts. With these Insights, all stakeholder groups are able to better understand where more resources are needed and where capacity is already demonstrated.

Based on the 3i Management Modelling© approach, Third i Management is able to provide detailed analysis (Insights) specifically applicable to each stakeholder group associated with a project or initiative. By segmenting the data according to each stakeholder group, decision makers are able to better understand the impact of their strategies, policies, or development objectives. Additionally, having the data segmented according to stakeholder group promotes effective and informed dialogue… supporting empathy and informed decision-making so every segment of society can be hear and understood.

The 3i Management Model©

This modelling and Output process can be used as a real-time, retrospective, or prospective tool. The model and its outputs assist with better decision-making and project management by providing the knowledge necessary to minimise negative impacts, increase positive impacts, and support better outcomes. The modelling process is about understanding complex scenarios that impact community development and management. This is achieved by assigning values to the listing of thematically categorised data derived from interviews or surveys. The outputs support improved management and/ or stakeholder decisions because all of the historically messy and complex scenarios are simplified into clearly presented data and diagrams, which can be understood and processed quickly to support decision making and management solutions. The model outputs also assist with communication, accountability, strategy formulation, governance, and improved management. A few of the advantages of the outputs include: tabulating all stakeholder inputs into a simplified summary to understand the various views specific to each grouping; clearly demonstrating the impacts, as experienced and reported by those affected most, of past or current initiatives; easily communicating the positive or negative impacts associated with the challenges experienced during a project; what management responses have been most effective and how to improve the least effective; quickly learning from the Outputs without all of the time consuming report writing and reading.

We Are Outcome Focused

Third i Management’s solution is about understanding how organisations/ councils/ stakeholders groups/ individuals reach specific outcomes. Through the 3i Management Modelling process© we are able to account for and trace back the series of events that occurred prior to outcomes occurring. Our process identifies the cause and effect relationship (actions/ decisions/ responses) between issues and impacts. Therefore, at any stage of development, stakeholders can assess how they obtained either positive or negative outcomes by providing input on the relationships between the issues, responses, and impacts they experienced or perceived. Once the data is obtained, the 3i Management Model© is able to map (flow diagrams) the sequence of events and tabulate the findings by using our proprietary process to turn quantitative data into qualitative Insights.

This solution to understanding outcomes can be applied in real time to record events as they occur or can evaluate sequences that have already occurred, which can then be reassessed periodically to determine how management decisions are affecting the development process.

Based on the Australian Government’s Principles for Social Impact Investing, Third i Management’s 3i Management Modelling process© aids and supports ‘Robust Outcomes-Based Measurement and Evaluation’ by supporting the continual evaluation of outcomes, which enables the investment to be refined as appropriate. Our monitoring process and ability to track accountability provides a robust and transparent analysis of the investment’s impact and efficacy in delivering outcomes.

Accordingly, our ethos is rooted in aiding communities who require social benefit assistance and outcome based solutions. We understand that many of people, communities, & organisations that would greatly benefit from our services are often strapped for resources, funding, and technological or methodological acuteness for evaluating, measuring, or monitoring social impact. In response, to aid communities most in need and demonstrate the importance of citizen led reporting, Third I Management has formulated our business structure as a profit for purpose organisation. Our Purpose is to provide communities and organisations most in need of assistance with the tools and expertise needed to attain community member input, analyse the data, understand the social impact landscape to pinpoint exactly what is being done well & what specific responses need incorporated for better results. We will then assist them with reporting this information in an attempt to obtain additional funding and/ or support.
